In 1950 boys had to wear shorts even in the winter and a jersey and girls had to wear dresses or a skirt and a jersey.
At state schools they just would wear mufti.
60 years ago they used paper and pencils books very similar to now.
Back then if they were naughty they would get disciplined ,the child or children would get the strap or the cane.
For school fees they didn't have any compared to now,
60 years ago they played sports like basket ball,soft ball,tennis.
They only had school holidays in August, May and the Christmas holidays.
