How did money change the life of sport over time?

I am doing a research about sports in the olden days and how they changed. I have intervewed the university chaplain Greg hughson who is a friend of my mum and dad and asked him questions about sports so i can answer my big question. I also found some background information.
How did they use to make balls and how much did the balls cost?
In the 1980s they had plastic balls for 1$, and other balls they put balloons in them and cover them with leather and other meterials.
What was the first sport brand you knew?
It was nike because he had nike shoes and nike rugby t-shirt.
How much did sport shoes cost?
The cool, best shoes use to be about 50$.
What was the first, second and third sport you knew?
1-Rugby
2-Squash
3-Indoor sports
Do you think sport got cheaper and why?
No I think sport got more expensive bacause in the olden days the use to get a lot less money at work.
