Jake Andrews findings

Cars
Petrol was cheaper back then rather then now.her Morris Oxford and Nissan Bluebird were the most comfortable and biggest. Her Nissan Bluebird was the most economical because it had two fuel LPG and petrol. Cars are much cheaper now than then because of the Japanese imports.
Trains & Trams
They are a good source of transport for people in the city but not for those in the country. They used coal until diesel came in but they both polluted. They stopped being transport because of aircraft's ,cars and buses. trams and trains stated up at the beginning of the century. for 2 sections it cost 3p and for a concession ticket it cost 2s 6p
Boats
Ferries started working at the beginning of the century. They took people from Europe to New Zealand when people wanted to go.Her bad part about leaving Scotland was leaving the family. The good part was looking forward to more opportunities and both work wise.
Planes and helicopters
Helicopters could only hold the pilot. When she first came to New Zealand they had food, drink and toilets. Plane tickets are cheaper now than then.
Public transport For her public transport she used trolley bus , tramcar and a cable car. It was very cheap public transport. Around in her day there was trolley bus, train, boats and aeroplane, when grandma came to New Zealand.
In world war II they used fighter planes, tanks, armor trucks, jet planes and armored ships that made the World War II easier.
In answer to the big question
There is now more public transport available takes less time to travel around the world and flights are cheaper
